The need Amelia’s needed a digital home that felt like the place itself, spacious, intimate, and grounded in the particular atmosphere of where it sits, while still working clearly for guests planning their stay.
How we showed up SOLA designed and developed a website that translated Amelia’s spirit into digital form. Architectural sketches, handwritten notes, cinematic photography, restrained colour, and carefully paced language were woven together into an experience shaped by presence, welcome, and a deep sense of place.
What shifted The result is a website that functions as a brand experience, communicating Amelia’s philosophy and identity with coherence and warmth. Rather than a neutral container for information, it became an extension of the guest experience itself, setting the tone before anyone arrives.
This work resonates with Boutique hospitality brands, lifestyle businesses, and values-led founders who want their website to feel lived-in, a true reflection of who they are and not just what they offer.
Welcome to the online home of Amelia’s, a majestic retreat set high upon the hillside and gazes over the Caribbean Sea of Treasure Beach, Jamaica. The design of this website moves in wide, unhurried gestures, its spacious sections and cinematic images echoing the sweep of the sea, while the copy grounds the visitor in a quieter story of belonging, presence and time slowed down.
The voice of the site is meant to be inviting. From the first prologue to the evocation of verandahs, rooms, and gathering spaces, the language carries a low, steady rhythm—part hospitality, part poetry. Architectural sketches, handwritten notes and photographs are woven with narrative fragments, so that what unfolds is a glimpse of a philosophy, a way of being held by place.
The color palette remains restrained—ocean blues, warm earth, the textures of wood and stone—each chosen to echo the landscape of Treasure Beach. Typography shifts between the grace of serif headlines and the clarity of unadorned sans-serif text, balancing elegance with ease. Together, design and language hold Amelia’s as a dwelling translated into love, memory, and welcome, where the spirit of the Caribbean is gathered and kept.
