IPPF - What Kind of Man Are You? Campaign
Campaign Design / Collateral Design / Film & Photography
What Kind of Man Are You? was a regional campaign designed and executed in full by SOLA Creative Studio for IPPF Americas and the Caribbean Region. Developed for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the project invited men across the Caribbean to reflect on masculinity, accountability, and care.
From the first idea to the final post, our team shaped the entire campaign narrative through concept development, visual design, writing, and direction. Every element—photography, illustration, motion, and voice—was intentionally composed to create a unified story of reflection and change.
The campaign’s visual identity was grounded in authenticity and cultural sensitivity. Sixteen portraits and eight reels were developed to correspond with each day of activism, featuring real men across the Caribbean captured in moments of reflection, strength, and empathy. Layered illustrations intertwined with photographic realism to bridge intimacy and symbolism.
SOLA led the copywriting and scripting of all visual and video materials, crafting conversation-driven messaging written in accessible, everyday Caribbean language that felt direct, disarming, and sincere. Each portrait paired an image with a question that urged introspection rather than blame, centering the message: Men can unlearn, re-learn, and do better.
The studio also directed and produced a one-minute campaign film and eight short interview reels designed for social media circulation and anchored in a multimedia language that felt local, human, and transformative.
The result was an immediate call to presence, challenging cultural silences around gender-based violence while opening a space for men to see respect, empathy, and compassionate listening as true acts of strength.
